We are Christians, passionate about our photography and love to make pictures rather than just take photos! Our style is contemporary and relaxed aiming to draw out the real personality of the people we photograph.
Employing a photo-journalistic approach we capture the full wedding day in a story book fashion, the excitement, the drama, the more formal moments and the funny bits!
Photos are really important to both of us, but we like taking them, rather than being in them. This meant that the idea of a whole day being photographed made us both feel quite nervous. When we met Jonathan for our pre-wedding photos, he was so approachable and easy to talk to and within no time we felt totally relaxed. When we look back on our wedding it was a fun and stress-free day and Jonathan’s ability to make us feel relaxed in front of the camera really contributed to this, it also resulted in great photos!
Another real bonus was his great organisation skills and professionalism. Jonathan was very efficient, but also unobtrusive, so amazing photos were taken naturally, without causing any big interruptions to the flow of celebrations. Jonathan’s good communication meant that we could trust him to capture all the special moments of our day. For example, he went out of his way to visit the three venues that we used on our wedding day and he had lots of suggestions and ideas about possible photographs, but he also really encouraged us to put forward our own ideas.
Every wedding is unique and we really felt that Jonathan grasped the special flavour that we wanted for our wedding and spent time thinking about how he could express this flavour through photography. Finally, the most important thing for us is an amazing collection of photographs which provide a very special memory of the day. We have been really impressed with Jonathan’s skills and would not hesitate in recommending his services to other people

When we got engaged we longed for a great reminder of that special event. Jonathan offered us engagement photos taken in his studio. We immediately felt at ease with him and enjoyed having our photos taken. They were all very imaginative.
We decided to have Jonathan do our wedding pictures after our experience with our engagement. Jonathan prepared by going through every detail of the wedding with us. He came with us to visit the church and reception venue so as to check out every detail in preparation for taking pictures on our special day.
Jonathan is always very relaxed and friendly and this made it easy for us to talk about desired pictures and he brought on all his brilliant ideas. His relaxed attitude combined with the dedication of a professional had us all relaxed during the wedding and made each take an enjoyable experience. We felt relaxed and truly enjoyable experience.
We found it remarkable that Jonathan was punctual. He arrived at the hairdressers 1st thing in the morning and was present late into the evening. He captured every moment of the day. Jonathan also consulted with us during the final processing of the pictures which allowed for our personalities to jump through the pictures.
We would utterly recommend Jonathan for any photographic shots because we are assured of his full passion and dedication to his work.

When Jonathan told us he was available to do our wedding we were thrilled. For us the photography had always been a very important aspect of our wedding plans. From the first moment we met and discussed our vision of the day with Jonathan we felt that he grasped what we wanted wholeheartedly and completely. We wanted a kind of “fly on the wall” account of our special day, and not the boring traditional photos we were so used to seeing, when other photographers showed us their work. We wanted our photos to express our personalities, and capture the whole ethos of the day. We wanted special effects that we had never even seen done before by any other photographer and we didn’t even know if the special effects we had in mind would be possible.
It was really great having Jonathan at our wedding, he carried out his role perfectly, to the point that at times we didn’t even know he was there, and yet the photos are absolutely stunning. Jonathan truly captured the whole story of our day, portraying all the love and joy that was shared. Jonathan surpassed all of our expectations and fulfilled our every request.
We truly believe that Jonathan’s work is unique, and we cannot thank him enough for the superb treasured memories that he has captured for us, forever. We decided to get some family portraits done as an anniversary present and Jonathan was recommended to us by a friend. We have two small children – a five year old and a one year old so we needed someone who would be patient and good with children. We all immediately felt at ease when we met him, and he made us feel very welcome. Both our children responded well to him. He was extremely patient with both of them, including our baby boy who needed breaks for nappy changes and bottles! When our baby got tired, Jonathan let us play a children’s CD in the background whilst the photos were being taken, which helped a great deal. Jonathan made our photo session fun and was willing to try out any of our own ideas. Jonathan’s customer service was excellent. He responded to emails and questions quickly, and was happy to answer any awkward questions. We absolutely loved our photographs and canvasses. Jonathan is so talented and we would highly recommend him

We wanted to show the youth club that they were of value and Jon took some amazing photos of them all, close ups. groups, serious and fun and so gentle with the nervous ones. That’s all they talk about now, I even like the one of me ! Jon, you’re more than a photographer, you’re an Artist.
John was amazing with our young people and made them feel relaxed and comfortable. He really brought out the best in them and captured some fantastic photographs. John was wonderful in taking time with those who were really self concious to get them to open up and all the youth are extremely happy with their shots. I would recommend him without hesitation.
The prospect of a photo shoot with a very lively almost two year old was somewhat daunting but Jonathan was very good with my granson. The photographs were taken in the garden while he was playing and Dylan was allowed to be himself entirely. The resulting photos showed his character beautifully, in fact there was so many really lovely shots that we decided to have them printed into a photo book. I would most certainly recommend Jonathan to anyone.

For my boyfriend and I it was abit daughting to have our first ever photo shoot done with our 7 month old daughter!! John from the offset made us feel right at home and we discussed different positions for photos and the option to go in to the garden. our little girl really responded to the calm approach and we now have some beautiful natural memories captured. If I ever get marries John is the person I would want and would recommend him to anyone who wants to capture natural, artistic and magical photos. Thank you John for such a lovely photo shoot.

I would highly recommend Jonathan Trueman for a photo-shoot. He took photos of my 17 year old daughter recently and the results are stunning. She was worried that she would feel awkward but in fact felt extremely comfortable with Jonathan. Consequently, we have some lovely photos that were taken with different backgrounds and in a variety of poses. My friend and I were able to watch and because of the relaxed atmosphere found the whole thing to be a very enjoyable experience. The results were much better than I could have hoped for.
Thank You for a wonderful day, it was so much fun to have you there. And thank you for the marvellous photos. You literally captured and made eternal the magic of this the most important day of our lives and made it possible for us to share it with our friends and family who couldn’t make it to the wedding.

Wow! What an amazing wedding experience we had with Jonathan and Paul. We are so over the moon with our final photos, they are just above and beyond what we had hoped they would be!
Jonathan directed us so thoughtfully and gently through all the poses throughout the day, I never felt stressed or in a rush. He was very attentive in making sure that we tried to get the style of example shots we had previously sent him. Also he had some amazing spontanious, artistic ideas that turned out to be some of our favorite final picks! Jonathan was such a professional but also genuine, sincere and warm. He was so much the professional that I just heard his main camera broke on the day and I didn’t know about it until my Mother told me days afterwards! Thank you Jonathan and Paul for making our day so special and giving us wonderful picture memories of our fairytale ending.
