Hi, I’m Peter Garner, and I’m a specialist in the Urban/Industrial genre although I’ll photograph practically anything. Music events are my speciality and I like to promote both myself and the artist whenever possible. I believe that however good a performer is, unless they’re backed up by good publicity, especially images, then they’re at a disadvantage. I have covered innumerable clubbing events in the UK and Europe and have worked with a Central European PR agency for 2 major events in the Czech Republic.

I photograph subjects from many different angles and view them with a non-standard perspective. Many of my buildings soar skywards, or change colour to suit the mood of the moment. I find an interesting aspect or view of a building and use it to full advantage..

As a regular mainland European traveller I not only photograph the regular tourist haunts but also get to know my chosen area a little better as well. The result is a more in-depth report which may help to give a better insight into social and economic factors.

For me, photography is not just about taking “a picture”: it’s capturing that moment in a fraction of a second, along with the emotion of the moment, and saving it for posterity. I want to be able to communicate the mood of the scene I’m photographing – an image should be self-explanatory. I always carry a camera of some description and never miss an opportunity.
