I work really hard on each wedding to make sure you get what you want and what you have paid for.

Although each wedding is different every wedding has immense thought, time and effort put into it and I try to show that through my photography.

Nobody else does what I do. Others give you discs with a slideshow on but I turn mine into a production. A mini film of your day you can play on your television, computer or ipod with full resolution copies of the pictures for you to print.

I photograph subjects from many different angles and view them with a non-standard perspective. Many of my buildings soar skywards, or change colour to suit the mood of the moment. I find an interesting aspect or view of a building and use it to full advantage..

As a regular mainland European traveller I not only photograph the regular tourist haunts but also get to know my chosen area a little better as well. The result is a more in-depth report which may help to give a better insight into social and economic factors.

For me, photography is not just about taking “a picture”: it’s capturing that moment in a fraction of a second, along with the emotion of the moment, and saving it for posterity. I want to be able to communicate the mood of the scene I’m photographing – an image should be self-explanatory. I always carry a camera of some description and never miss an opportunity.

Discretion is everything to us. The most important thing for us when we shoot a wedding is that we’re close to invisible. Being so unobtrusive means we get to photograph the whole day in a natural style.

Apart from a handful of family shots, and some beautiful images of the two of you, we strive to shoot in this way so that nothing is contrived, no one feels self-conscious, and most important of all, you get some breathtaking, emotive images.

Keen to learn as much as possible about this wonderful art form Chris took a number of courses at Central St Martins and at The Camera Club. The bug had well and truly bitten.

In 2002 Chris embarked on a full time career in photography specialising in weddings.
